Private Group active 2 years, 3 months ago agoCultural heritage assets require proper limit states to be considered in the displacement-based safety assessment procedure and design of interventions. In the case of historic buildings, the limit states adopted for the assessment of existing buildings and the design of new constructions may be considered as a reference, while for macroelements or artistic assets no information is available. Aim of this work package is to define proper limit states for cultural heritage assets and the related reference seismic input, taking into account both human life safety and specific conservation requirements (aesthetics, serviceability, reparability, …). These limit states will be correlated to proper damage measures, specifically defined for the different cultural heritage assets, in order to allow safety verifications.
